Dateline 4/7/99 NLP PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE JOHN HAGELIN OFFERS PRESIDENT CLINTON IMMEDIATE RESOLUTION TO KOSOVO CRISISOn Wednesday, April 7, in a quarter-page ad on page 4 of the Washington Post, Dr. John Hagelin offered President Clinton an immediate resolution to the Kosovo crisis through a proven peace technology that "can quell violence within 48 hours." Dr. Hagelin will hold a news conference describing this technology on Friday, April 9, at 10:30 a.m. in the Holeman Lounge at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. Joining him at the press conference will be John Davies, Ph.D., Research Director of the Center of International Development and Conflict Management at the University of Maryland. The press conference will include a demonstration of the peace-creating technology by experts from 20 countries. For the complete text of Dr. Hagelin's letter to President Clinton, a summary of research supporting the peace technology, and directions on how to contact your Members of Congress about this proposal, please visit our Natural Law Party website TODAY at http://www.natural-law.org. An Excerpt from Dr. Hagelin's Letter to President Clinton: "Strategic air strikes against military targets cost billions of dollars and place innocent lives at risk. For a negligible cost, we can deploy a large coherence-creating group in the vicinity of the conflict. Such a group would reduce tensions and hostility in the region, and create a coherent environment that would compel Milosevic to step back from his dangerous game of brinksmanship and choose a rational course of action that would safeguard the lives of all Yugoslavians." |
