Film director David Lynch, actor Stephen Collins, and actresses Laura Dern, Heather Graham, and Laura Harring joined Dr. John Hagelin on June 12 for an international press conference promoting the establishment of a “Peace Palace” in Los Angeles.
The 12,000 square foot Peace Palace will be one of 100 in the U.S. and 3,000 worldwide. It will house a permanent group of at least 200 peace-creating experts to bring relief to the stressed population of Los Angeles and to promote peace for a turbulent world.
Dr. Hagelin presented scientific research supporting the beneficial influence of such peace-creating groups on social trends and described several Peace Palaces already completed in the U.S. He also announced the formation of a new “U.S. Peace Government” to administer the Peace Palaces in America, promote programs to reduce stress in schools, and prevent crime and violence in other areas of society. The complementary government will be launched in Washington, D.C., on July 2.
The Hollywood celebrities voiced strong support for building a Peace Palace in Los Angeles. They also spoke of the profound personal benefits they had gained through their practice of Transcendental Meditation, one of the peace-creating technologies to be used in the Peace Palace to bring harmony and coherence to Los Angeles.
